Interbay Chowdown Models Localized Food as a Green Infrastructure Opportunity

What great way to put an Interbay empty lot on our mental "food map" of Seattle!

The recent Chowdown event brought hundreds hungry for lunch (and wanting to be together) and certainly demonstrates several kinds of latent demand in our community. Gets me wondering too, what else is possible to add other parts of the food production and/or distribution chain into this great location right in our midst?

CityLab7 is exploring the Lettuce Utility concept first to serve an area with a pretty high concentration of independent restaurants, yet it has this grazer wondering what new rooftops might be sprouting (literally) in the top-to-bottom, integrated green 'hood The Freehold Group has on the boards.
